Terms of Service

1. What SocialShield Is

SocialShield is a web application and Chrome extension that uses AI to analyze social media posts for viral potential, flag content risks, generate post rewrites, suggest hashtags, and surface trending topics. It is operated by Polsia, Inc.

By using SocialShield — including the web app, Chrome extension, or any associated API — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Service Tiers

SocialShield offers two tiers:

Free tier limits are enforced server-side. Attempting to circumvent them (e.g., by rotating accounts, manipulating cookies, or using the API directly) is a violation of these terms.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly at $9.99/month via Stripe
• Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel
• Cancel any time from your account settings — access continues through the end of the billing period
• No refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

4. Acceptable Use

You may use SocialShield for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the service to generate, refine, or score content intended to harass, threaten, or harm individuals
• Automate requests to our API without written permission (no scrapers, bots, or bulk analysis pipelines)
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models or scoring logic
• Share, resell, or sublicense access to SocialShield features to third parties
• Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates third-party intellectual property rights
• Create multiple accounts to exploit free tier limits

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the post text you submit for analysis. By submitting content, you grant SocialShield a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content for the sole purpose of delivering analysis results to you.

We do not claim ownership of your posts. We do not use your post content to train AI models. We do not share your content with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g., our AI inference infrastructure).

6. AI-Generated Content

SocialShield uses AI to generate scores, interpretations, rewrites, hashtags, and content suggestions. This output is provided as-is for informational purposes. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice.

You are responsible for everything you post. AI suggestions are a starting point, not a guarantee. SocialShield does not guarantee any post will go viral, avoid controversy, or achieve any particular outcome. Review AI output before publishing.

7. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these terms
• Abuse the free tier through account manipulation
• Use the service in ways that harm other users or the platform
• Fail to pay for a Premium subscription after a grace period

You can delete your account at any time by contacting support@polsia.app. Account deletion is processed within 30 days and removes all stored data associated with your account.

8. Limitation of Liability

SocialShield is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce accurate predictions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SocialShield's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability — in those cases, the above limitations apply to the extent permitted by local law.

9. Intellectual Property

SocialShield, its logo, design, and scoring methodology are proprietary to Polsia, Inc. Nothing in these terms grants you a license to use our trademarks, logos, or intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the service as intended.

10. Third-Party Services

SocialShield integrates with third-party platforms (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) via the Chrome extension. Use of those platforms is subject to their respective terms of service. SocialShield is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any social media platform.

11. Privacy

Your use of SocialShield is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
